How to start training for Women MMA?

I’m interested in beginning training in MMA. I’m 5’4" 125lbs. I’ve always been strong, and really tough. I just need to know how to start. I you have any advice please let me know.

Also, about how long would it take until I actually start fighting on the amateur level.

    Find an MMA gym. Failing that, find a boxing, kickboxing, Judo, Sambo, or Brazilian Jiujitsu gym that has an MMA team. If you’re still in school and there’s a wrestling team, see if you can’t join it. Frankly, you’re hardly the first to ask this question, and searching through some of the other answers would have saved you some time.

    As for how long it’ll take you to be ready, that depends on a lot of things. Not everyone learns at the same pace, not every instructor has the same standards, not every area has readily-available amateur competitions, etc. Just train, get better, and the opportunities will come.
